Commanders' Tyler Owens draw praise after exceptional special teams play: 'One of the greatest football plays I’ve ever seen'

Washington Commanders safety Tyler Owens produced an extraordinary defensive highlight during his squad's tight 24-22 opening-week defeat against the Philadelphia Eagles. Maneuvering past opposing blockers, Owens leveled Eagles return specialist Will Shipley with a thunderous tackle that rapidly circulated across digital platforms as a leading candidate for the league's top play.

Despite dropping the contest by two points, Washington saw multiple bright spots in the Week 1 clash. While Owens captured widespread acclaim for his exceptional coverage, rookie wideout Antonio Williams achieved the highest overall mark on the roster according to Pro Football Focus grades.
