Colorado State defensive coordinator leaves team mid game vs. Oregon State, is officially fired afterward

Colorado State suffered a heavy 56-26 defeat against Oregon State, but the most dramatic development unfolded away from the field. Defensive coordinator Tyson Summers departed for the locker room at halftime and did not return to the sidelines.

Following the conclusion of the match, head coach Jim Mora Jr. confirmed that Summers had been officially dismissed from his position. Assistant head coach and defensive line coach Kenny McClendon is set to take over defensive play-calling duties moving forward.
