College football rankings projection for US LBM Coaches Poll Top 25 after Week 4

Texas is expected to maintain the top spot in the upcoming US LBM Coaches Poll following a victory at Tennessee, spearheaded by Colin Simmons matching a school record with five sacks. Meanwhile, Georgia stands strong at number two after crushing Oklahoma 41-13, and Notre Dame secured a dominant half-time lead en route to defeating Purdue 49-10.

Other notable movements feature Indiana holding off Northwestern 29-23, Miami easily handling Central Michigan 52-3 with a stellar performance by Darian Mensah, and Ohio State defeating Illinois 42-19 behind a historic outing from Jeremiah Smith.

Further down the projected top ten, Alabama cruised past South Carolina 49-18 behind Keelon Russell's five touchdowns, while Florida prepares for a massive jump into the top tier following a 52-28 blowout win over Ole Miss under coach Jon Sumrall. The decisive victory leaves Ole Miss facing a steep drop of three to five spots after previously defeating LSU, which itself may slip despite dispatching Texas A&M.

The updated rankings are scheduled for release later on Sunday.
