Chris Samba's son Floyd shines on debut as Man City ease past Norwich

Floyd Samba produced an exceptional senior debut to guide Manchester City into the fourth round of the Carabao Cup courtesy of a 5-0 victory over Norwich City. The 17-year-old forward, watched from the crowd by his father and former top-flight defender Chris, initiated the rout with a low header before completing his brace with a curling strike into the bottom-right corner.

Fellow debutant Allan set up Samba's opener and subsequently found the net himself, with Rayan Cherki and Ryan McAidoo also getting on the scoresheet to cap off a dominant display.

Norwich failed to register an official shot on target throughout the encounter, as substitute Mohamed Toure saw their only potential consolation ruled out due to an offside flag. The triumph marked a sixth consecutive victory across all competitions for Enzo Maresca's side, securing them a home tie against Brighton in the next stage of the tournament.
