Brighton hit FIVE to leave Coventry without point or goal

Brighton climbed into fourth position in the Premier League after delivering a ruthless 5-0 defeat to Coventry at the CBS Arena, maintaining their status as the division's highest-scoring club while leaving their hosts without a single point or goal this season. The visitors unleashed the initial seven attempts within twenty minutes before Frank Lampard's team fought back with the subsequent eight efforts.

Despite an opening period featuring twenty-one total attempts—the highest tally recorded in any top-flight contest so far this campaign—goalkeeper Bart Verbruggen protected the visitors' advantage by denying a Jack Rudoni volley and tipping Frank Onyeka's powerful effort over the bar. Charalampos Kostoulas had already broken the deadlock for the Seagulls, handing them the upper hand heading into the interval.
