Braves News: NLDS Roster, Walt Weiss, Game 1 loss, more

Following a 5-3 defeat in the opening game of their National League Division Series, the Atlanta club faces a crucial matchup with unrestricted pitching options ahead of a scheduled day off. Manager Walt Weiss remained tight-lipped regarding Chris Sale's availability for the upcoming contest, leaving supporters eager for a more proactive bullpen strategy after a conservative approach in the previous outing.

Meanwhile, the franchise finalized its active postseason roster by carrying an expanded group of pitchers compared to the previous round. Across the league, the New York Yankees dropped a 1-0 shutout to Tampa Bay after Drew Rasmussen delivered a stellar performance on the mound, while Aaron Jersey was left off the Bronx Bombers' roster due to an ongoing calf injury.

Elsewhere in the American League, the Chicago White Sox secured an opening victory in Cleveland.
