No. 18 USC rallies past Washington 25-21 with Stewart’s fumble return TD, more big defensive plays

Southern California overcame a double-digit deficit to defeat Washington twenty-five to twenty-one in Los Angeles on Saturday evening. Jahkeem Stewart secured the decisive score for the eighteenth-ranked Trojans by returning a fumble forty-eight yards during the third quarter, part of fifteen unanswered points that halted a two-game skid.

Jayden Maiava contributed two hundred forty-five passing yards and connected with Tanook Hines for a touchdown, while the defense completely shut down the Huskies after halftime. Demond Williams Junior led a late offensive push for Washington that ultimately stalled inside the red zone when his final end-zone pass fell incomplete with thirty-nine seconds remaining.
