Book review: How one coach built a college golf dynasty

Jim McLean examines the remarkable evolution of the University of Houston golf program under the leadership of coach Dave Williams in his new book, The Houston Dynasty. Williams took over a squad mired in a lengthy losing skid back in 1951 and boldly forecasted a string of national titles, a prediction that materialized as the school secured sixteen team championships and numerous tournament victories.

The publication features contributions from broadcaster Jim Nantz and highlights past players like Fred Couples, Blaine McCallister, Ben Crenshaw, and Tom Kite.
