Washington quarterback Marcus Mariota was forced out of an international matchup against Indianapolis after sustaining an injury to his right knee during the second possession. The veteran signal-caller went down following a sack by Laiatu Latu and subsequently walked to the locker room for evaluation, leaving rookie Athan Kaliakmanis to take over under center.
Before departing, Mariota contributed a 35-yard rush to help set up a 29-yard field goal by Drew Stevens, which followed an earlier 31-yard kick by Stevens that capitalized on a fumble by Daniel Jones. Washington listed their starting quarterback as questionable to return as the game continued overseas.
