Bijan Robinson carries Atlanta's offense in Week 1 loss

Atlanta kicked off the 2026 NFL campaign with a 20-13 road defeat against the Pittsburgh Steelers. Running back Bijan Robinson provided the bright spots for the Falcons, logging their opening touchdown of the year alongside an impressive one-handed reception where he eluded several defenders.

Operating as the primary back with Tyler Allgeier no longer on the roster, Robinson shouldered the workload for a team that struggled with costly mistakes.

With starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa sidelined, Cooper Rush stepped under center for Atlanta and endured a difficult outing. Rush was brought down for four sacks and surrendered two interceptions as the Falcons failed to keep pace in the one-score setback.
