Australian Hughes among five leaving Sussex

Sussex County Cricket Club has confirmed that five athletes will exit the roster following the conclusion of the 2026 campaign. Veteran overseas batter Daniel Hughes is among the departing group after spending the previous three years with the organization and topping the championship run charts during his final campaign.

Club leadership praised his impact on mentoring younger athletes alongside his offensive production. Four additional squad members will depart alongside Hughes when the season concludes: Brad Currie, Harrison Ward, Troy Henry, and Nantes Oosthuizen.
