Australia deny South Africa series sweep as Carey returns to form in rain-affected third ODI

Australia managed to prevent a series sweep against South Africa by securing a 45-run victory via the DLS method in the third one-day international. The visitors posted a total of 322 runs for the loss of nine wickets before weather conditions halted the match with the hosts at 145 for four.

Alex Carey rediscovered his batting touch alongside contributions from Marsh and Peake, while Pat Cummins and Adam Zampa delivered welcome returns to form during the rain-shortened fixture.
