India claimed two podium finishes in the men's javelin competition at the 2026 Asian Games, with Yashvir Singh capturing the silver medal and Rohit Yadav taking home bronze. The top step of the podium went to Sri Lankan competitor Rumesh Pathirage, who delivered a gold-winning throw measuring 88.55 meters.
Yashvir established a new personal record by launching the spear 85.72 meters during the contest. The Indian duo delivered these strong results despite the absence of prior champion Neeraj Chopra, who sat out the competition due to an injury.
