Asian Games: Athletics leads India’s big medal haul, boxing assures more as near misses hurt

India has secured a total of eight medals across multiple disciplines including athletics, shooting, and kurash during the ongoing Asian Games 2026. Standout performances featured Yashvir Singh and Rohit Yadav claiming a javelin double, alongside Murali Sreeshankar capturing a silver medal in the long jump.

Additional podium finishes came from Esha Singh with a silver and Pincky Balhara who collected a bronze.
