‘This is all fake’: Akhtar dismisses reports of taking up role in Naqvi-led PCB

Former fast bowler Shoaib Akhtar has strongly refuted speculation linking him to an administrative position within the Pakistan Cricket Board. During a recent television broadcast, the cricket personality explicitly rejected claims that he would accept a high-ranking selection post under Mohsin Naqvi following the national team's latest defeats.

Akhtar maintained that he has zero interest in securing an official capacity inside the organization. While he ruled out any formal employment with the board, he emphasized that he still wants to contribute to the nation's cricket ecosystem through alternative channels.
