Asian Games 2026: Can India and Pakistan meet in the final?

Heavy rainfall forced the cancellation of the quarter-final fixtures at the Asian Games 2026 men's cricket tournament, sending both India and Pakistan directly into the semi-finals based on their superior seedings. Because the two rivals occupy opposing halves of the knockout bracket, they have avoided a meeting in the last four and are instead scheduled to play their respective semi-final matches on October 1.

Should both squads emerge victorious, they will collide in the gold-medal showdown on October 3. Alternatively, a pair of losses in the semi-finals would force the two sides to face one another in the bronze-medal playoff held on the same day.
