Arkansas senior outside hitter Laci Bohannan medically retiring from volleyball

Arkansas outside hitter Laci Bohannan has announced her medical retirement from collegiate volleyball due to a lingering stress injury in her left foot. The graduate transfer from Benton previously played four standout seasons at Central Arkansas and chose the Razorbacks to follow the path of her parents, who attended the university.

In her lone season in Fayetteville, she appeared in 21 matches and accumulated 120 kills, five service aces, and 31 blocks before stepping away ahead of a road matchup against LSU.

Razorbacks head coach Jason Watson praised the courage and selflessness required for Bohannan to reach this difficult conclusion regarding her health. Although her playing days on the court have concluded, Watson confirmed that she will continue supporting the squad in a different capacity as the team navigates the remainder of its Southeastern Conference schedule.
