Arizona Fall League: Luke Fox and Charles Davalan lead Glendale to a win

The Glendale Desert Dogs secured a narrow 5-4 victory over the Scorpions in Arizona Fall League action, sparked by a fast start from Los Angeles Dodgers prospects Luke Fox and Charles Davalan. Davalan staked his squad to an early advantage by crushing a leadoff home run on the third pitch of the contest, marking his second long ball of the autumn campaign.

On the mound, fellow Dodger farmhand Fox anchored the pitching effort with three strong frames, yielding just one run while racking up six strikeouts as part of a dominant 15-strikeout performance by the staff. Chase Harlan contributed to the winning effort by drawing a walk and crossing the plate once while batting cleanup.

Following the weekend win, the Desert Dogs will enjoy a scheduled league day off before returning to the diamond to host the Mesa Solar Sox. The upcoming matchup features the two clubs currently holding the lowest records in the league standings.
