Andreas Almgren storms to world half-marathon title with European record

Andreas Almgren secured the world half-marathon crown in Copenhagen after outpacing Nicholas Kipkorir in the closing stages. The Swedish runner shattered his personal best by crossing the finish line in fifty-eight minutes and six seconds, establishing a fresh European record in the process.

Joshua Cheptegei captured the bronze medal for Uganda with a personal best of fifty-eight minutes and twenty-six seconds, while Ethiopia's Tadese Worku finished fourth. Meanwhile, Jacob Sommer Simonsen registered a Danish national record on home soil, and Joseph Wigfield finished as the top British competitor in thirty-sixth place.
