49ers WR Demarcus Robinson carted off after suffering ankle injury early in matchup vs. Dolphins

San Francisco wide receiver Demarcus Robinson suffered an unfortunate ankle injury during the early stages of Sunday afternoon's matchup against the Miami Dolphins, requiring medical cart assistance to leave the playing surface. Prior to this contest, the 49ers had already dealt with significant injury news at the receiver position when rookie De’Zhaun Stribling was placed on injured reserve following ankle surgery.

San Francisco also promoted defensive lineman Ogbo Okoronkwo from the practice squad ahead of their home opener at Levi's Stadium.
