49ers sign Jack Stoll to the practice squad after Jake Tonges injury

Following an opening-week victory over the Los Angeles Rams in Australia, the San Francisco 49ers have reshuffled their roster to address multiple health setbacks. Tight end Jake Tonges sustained an MCL sprain during the contest and will be sidelined, prompting the club to add Jack Stoll to their practice group alongside another recent addition, McKinnley Jackson.

San Francisco also elevated Brayden Willis, previously selected in the seventh round, to reinforce tight end depth.

The roster adjustments come as the franchise navigates further attrition on offense. First-year wideout De'Zhaun Stribling was hurt in the Week 1 win as well, leaving the coaching staff searching for production to offset his upcoming absence.
