[WATCH] Rohit Sharma slips while getting off team bus after India's win over West Indies

Rohit Sharma experienced an awkward moment on September 27, 2026, when he stumbled upon exiting the team transport while heading back to their lodgings following the opening ODI against the West Indies in Thiruvananthapuram. Footage of the mishap quickly circulated online, showing the right-handed batter taking a hard fall on the vehicle steps before surrounding staff and observers stepped in to lift him back up, with no official announcements indicating any physical harm.

That contest saw the visiting squad compile 295 runs for the loss of seven wickets during their full allocation, powered by half-centuries from John Campbell and Amir Jangoo alongside a century by Justin Greaves. In response, India secured an eight-wicket triumph to claim a one-zero advantage in the three-game series, aided by a four-wicket effort from bowler Kuldeep Yadav and centuries from Shubman Gill and Virat Kohli.
