“They Really Don’t Want to Suspend A’ja Wilson”: Fever Fans Outraged as WNBA Takes Down Multiple Clips of Aces Star’s Altercation With Heckler

During the Las Vegas Aces loss in Game 2 on Tuesday, A'ja Wilson became involved in a fourth-quarter dispute with an Indiana Fever spectator after colliding with Sophie Cunningham. Although the fan stepped out of his seat and pointed his finger, arena security and video footage confirmed he made no derogatory remarks and avoided ejection.

Following the contest, Aces coach Becky Hammon claimed that boundaries frequently get pushed in Indiana, while supporters online expressed frustration as the WNBA issued copyright takedowns for multiple alternate angles of the clash. While Wilson received a technical foul for approaching the stands, beat writer James Boyd highlighted league regulations indicating she should have faced an automatic ejection for stepping into spectator territory.
