Tharindu Ratnayake delivered a stellar all-round performance to guide Sri Lanka to a 63-run victory over Bangladesh, securing the bronze medal in the men's cricket tournament at the Asian Games 2026. Struggling after a disastrous start that saw four top-order batsmen removed for single digits, Sri Lanka recovered thanks to a vital 93-run partnership between Ratnayake, who smashed 65 runs from 32 deliveries, and captain Sahan Arachchige, lifting the total to 165/9.
Defending the target, Ratnayake and Nuwan Thushara both claimed two wickets while conceding only 18 runs apiece, dismantling the opposition for a total of 102.
