Rams' Matthew Stafford makes surprise cameo in Taylor Swift's new music video

During the Video Music Awards on Sunday night, pop star Taylor Swift premiered her latest visual project for Patient Zero. Football enthusiasts and loyal fans alike quickly spotted an unexpected participant on the screen: Los Angeles Rams quarterback Matthew Stafford.

Earlier that evening, Stafford led his squad against the Denver Broncos at Mile High Stadium. In that contest, the veteran signal-caller completed 30 of 55 pass attempts for 390 yards, throwing two touchdowns alongside a pair of interceptions as his team dropped a 30-26 decision.

Stafford previously joined his wife Kelly at the July 3 wedding of Swift and Kansas City Chiefs tight end Travis Kelce. Kelly Stafford also made an appearance in the newly released visual alongside the quarterback.

The couple shares four daughters who actively follow the musical artist, adding a family connection to the unexpected cameo.
