‘Not getting a pass…’ WNBA fans have no sympathy for Olivia Miles after terrible playoff display

Following a historic postseason upset where the eighth-seeded New York Liberty swept the top-seeded Minnesota Lynx, rookie guard Olivia Miles faced heavy criticism from supporters. Despite an impressive regular season that earned her MVP buzz and comparisons to peers like Caitlin Clark and Paige Bueckers, Miles struggled significantly during her playoff debut, averaging just eight points, five rebounds, and a single assist.

Fans on social media expressed sharp disappointment regarding her postseason performance, pointing to missed layups and a lack of visible emotion during the series sweep. Observers noted that the immense hype and lofty comparisons surrounding her rookie campaign created high expectations, leaving little sympathy from the fanbase as she experienced a challenging introduction to the league playoffs.
