India secured a 3-2 series victory against New Zealand despite dropping the final two matches. Gautam Gambhir emphasized a unified team philosophy in his social media response to the result, highlighting the collective nature of the win.

New Zealand concluded the series with a seven-wicket victory at Seddon Park, fueled by a 93-run performance from Tim Seifert and an unbeaten 65 from Glenn Phillips. Phillips achieved a notable milestone by recording his fourth half-century of the series, matching a rare feat previously held by Mohammad Rizwan and S Ravichandran.
