Yorkshire beat Somerset, Sussex v Nottinghamshire: County Championship cricket, day four – live

Yorkshire secured a victory over Somerset at Headingley, where Ben Cliff claimed his ninth wicket of the contest by having Tom Lammonby caught behind off an outside edge by Jonny Bairstow. Somerset slumped to 76 for four as James Rew arrived at the crease under the watch of Stephen Fleming, only to see Cliff immediately beat his bat on delivery one.

Elsewhere across the County Championship, Hamza Shaikh fell at Grace Road, while Middlesex faced mounting difficulties. In the clash between Sussex and Nottinghamshire, Ari Karvelas continued an impressive spell by dismissing Brett Hutton to a sharp slip catch, leaving Notts eight wickets down with an advantage of merely 32 runs.
