Women’s Sports Bar Owners: Matinee WNBA Finals Game a ‘Slap in the Face’

The WNBA has shifted Game 6 of the Finals to a 12:30 p.m. ET start time this Thursday to accommodate the Atlanta Dream at State Farm Arena, as the venue is occupied by the Hawks that evening.

This move has drawn sharp criticism from several women's sports bar owners who argue the early kickoff hinders fan attendance and hurts their bottom line. With the Golden State Valkyries leading the series 3-2, the potential championship-clinching game will tip off at 9:30 a.m.

on the West Coast, creating significant staffing and revenue challenges for establishments that rely on these high-profile broadcasts.
