Why hasn’t Namibia directly qualified for ODI World Cup 2027?

Despite sharing hosting duties with South Africa and Zimbabwe for the 2027 ODI World Cup, Namibia missed out on automatic entry to the marquee tournament because of its status as an associate nation rather than a full member. The team must navigate a lengthy qualification pathway after ending up fifth in League 2, beginning with the Qualifier Play-off.

From that initial stage, the top four finishers advance toward the World Cup qualifiers scheduled for February alongside full members Ireland and West Indies.
