Who is throwing first pitch for World Series Game 1? Brewers call on franchise icons

The 2026 World Series opener is set for Friday in Milwaukee. To celebrate the franchise's return to the championship series for the first time in 44 years, the Brewers will have team icons Robin Yount, Bud Selig, and Paul Molitor throw ceremonial first pitches.

On the field, the Brewers' rotation will be led by young right-hander Jacob Misiorowski, who starts Game 1. The Tampa Bay Rays' Nick Martinez is scheduled to match him on the mound. Christian Yelich will occupy the third spot in the Milwaukee lineup, hitting third in the order.
