What Dorance Armstrong could add to Commanders pass rush in Daronte Jones’ scheme

Evaluating potential defensive upgrades remains a priority for Washington after their narrow 24-22 defeat against the Philadelphia Eagles in their season opener. Attention has turned to how edge rusher Dorance Armstrong can bolster the defensive front within coordinator Daronte Jones' tactical framework following an opening week where explosive plays and pass blocking issues proved costly.

Head coach Dan Quinn addressed the team's performance during his postgame reviews, evaluating players such as Mike Sainristil, Nick Allegretti, and Sonny Styles alongside defensive tackle Moro Ojomo's pivotal stop for Philadelphia. Despite the setback, Washington aims to establish a stronger defensive rhythm as they move forward from the division contest.
