What Detroit Lions fans want to know after Panthers loss

Detroit dropped to a 2-2 record after a Sunday night defeat to the Carolina Panthers, prompting fans to demand explanations for the struggling defense that appeared disjointed and inconsistent. Coach Dan Campbell addressed the shortcomings in back‑to‑back media sessions, acknowledging numerous defensive problems while urging the offense to provide better support.

Campbell also hinted at possible personnel moves, though he stopped short of revealing specifics. In the team’s own “Pride of Detroit” mailbag, fans raised questions about the future of players such as Nick Whiteside, the trade value of Donte Jackson, and whether Kelvin Sheppard was promoted too quickly, as well as the status of defensive backs coach Deshea Townsend.
