Josh Adams has expressed his strong ambition to feature in a third global tournament next year, with the upcoming competition scheduled to take place in Australia. The Welsh back highlighted his determination to reach the starting line in peak condition, though he acknowledged that significant domestic and international action remains ahead.
Exactly one year from the current date, his national side is set to begin their group stage campaign against Zimbabwe in Adelaide, followed by fixtures facing Tonga and England.
At thirty-one years of age, the Cardiff player already holds fond memories of previous global stages, having finished as the leading try scorer during the 2019 event in Japan where his team advanced to the semi-finals. He also participated four years later when his squad exited the tournament following a quarter-final defeat against Argentina.
Having never visited Australia previously, the experienced winger views the upcoming trip as a unique personal ambition alongside his desire to represent his country once again on the world stage.
