Volkanovski nears featherweight immortality as record beckons

Alexander Volkanovski aims to secure his ninth UFC featherweight title victory this Saturday, which would establish a new divisional record. The 38-year-old champion faces Movsar Evloev at UFC 333, looking to surpass the historical benchmark currently held by Jose Aldo.

Despite previous setbacks against Ilia Topuria and Islam Makhachev, Volkanovski successfully reclaimed his belt last year and has since defended his status as the division's top fighter. He remains focused on overcoming competitive challenges rather than pursuing statistical milestones or engaging in debates regarding his legacy against rivals like Max Holloway and Diego Lopes.
