Virat Kohli felt ‘people within had no faith in him’ before Test exit, claims former India cricketer

Former cricketer Mohammad Kaif has suggested that Virat Kohli decided to step away from Test matches in May 2025 after playing 123 games because he sensed a lack of backing from those inside the establishment. Kaif believes this perceived absence of confidence contributed to his departure from the red-ball format, contrasting it with his ongoing success in one-day internationals.
