USC's dreams for 2026 season already on life support after five games

Following another heavy defeat against the Oregon Ducks, the USC Trojans are facing a daunting outlook for their upcoming schedule under head coach Lincoln Riley. With difficult upcoming matchups against Washington, Penn State, Wisconsin, Ohio State, Indiana, and UCLA, analysts worry the squad will struggle to survive Big Ten conference play or reach the postseason.

Demond Williams and the Washington squad await the Trojans next, presenting a tough defensive challenge that leaves little room for error. Given their recent struggles, securing a spot in the College Football Playoff appears increasingly unlikely as the squad prepares for a grueling series of road games and difficult conference opponents.
