Trail Blazers set to announce new play-by-play voice Braiden Bell

The Portland franchise has chosen Braiden Bell to handle local television broadcast duties for upcoming games, succeeding longtime broadcaster Kevin Calabro. Bell brings experience from college basketball coverage as well as stints with the Phoenix Mercury and the G League Phoenix Suns, and he will team up alongside Lamar Hurd and Brooke Olzendam.

Calabro departs following a decade with the franchise after receiving reduced contract terms under new ownership, and he is slated to cover select games for Minnesota this season. Bell is scheduled to make his inaugural appearance on October 21 when Portland squares off against Phoenix.
