Tommy Tuberville Learns Alabama Governor Voting Results After CFB Coaching Career

Former college football head coach Tommy Tuberville has secured the Alabama gubernatorial election. He defeated Democratic opponent Doug Jones by capturing 52.1 percent of the vote, totaling 872,445 ballots compared to Jones's 803,468.

This victory marks a transition from his previous role as a United States Senator for the state.

Tuberville previously led programs at Auburn, Mississippi, Texas Tech, and Cincinnati over a 21-year coaching career, finishing with a 159-99 record. His tenure included honors as the 2004 AP Coach of the Year and two-time SEC Coach of the Year awards.
