Stephen A. Smith rips Donald Trump for using LeBron James as ‘politically expedient tool’

Stephen A. Smith recently criticized Donald Trump for targeting LeBron James over his conduct during the national anthem.

Trump claimed James showed disrespect by moving during the song before a game between the Philadelphia 76ers and the New York Knicks. Smith argued that the president is intentionally using the basketball star as a political prop to influence voters ahead of the upcoming midterm elections.

He suggested that Trump is leveraging the controversy to energize his base and sway undecided voters by attacking a prominent public figure.
