This World Series has no Goliaths but plenty of Davids who play a different brand of baseball

The upcoming Fall Classic features an unexpected matchup between the Milwaukee Brewers and the Tampa Bay Rays, guaranteeing a first-time title for an analytically driven, low-payroll franchise. The series opener is set for Friday in Wisconsin, pitting two clubs known for unconventional styles against each other ahead of a looming league labor battle over economic structure and salary caps.

Both organizations reached this stage through alternative methods, with the Rays relying heavily on contact hitting, singles, and defensive outfield play, while the Brewers excelled in opposite-field hitting, base speed, and stellar glovework. Milwaukee pitcher Jacob Misiorowski is among the standout athletes featured in this championship showdown.
