Texas A&M’s struggles continued on the road as the Aggies fell 27-6 to No. 14 Missouri on Saturday, marking their second straight game without a touchdown and raising further questions about their offensive consistency.
The Aggies’ defense held the Tigers to a close first half, but the offense failed to sustain drives, leaving the team reliant on special teams and spot-kicking to generate points. Missouri’s late fourth-quarter touchdown run by Jamal Roberts sealed the win, dropping Texas A&M to 3-3 overall and 1-3 in SEC play.
The Aggies’ next challenge comes against FCS opponent The Citadel, though a victory won’t address the deeper concerns about the offense’s ability to move the ball effectively or the quarterback’s accuracy issues.
Despite the loss, a few Aggies stood out. Kicker David Olano delivered all six of A&M’s points with a 53-yard field goal and a 27-yard kick, becoming the first Aggie since 2004 to make his first nine field-goal attempts.
Punter Tyler White again provided critical field-position advantages, averaging a season-high 52.7 yards per punt on seven attempts. Wide receiver TK Norman also made an impact, hauling in three catches for 55 yards, including a 32-yard gain, while quarterback Marcel Reed struggled with turnovers and accuracy, completing fewer than half his passes and failing to lead a scoring drive.
