Tennessee football raised its defense to new level in beating Alabama | Adams

Tennessee secured a 26-10 victory over Alabama behind a stifling defensive effort that limited the Crimson Tide throughout the contest. DeSean Bishop provided two rushing touchdowns to pace the Volunteers offense, while quarterback George MacIntyre directed the attack efficiently in his second career start.

The win marks Tennessee's third straight triumph over their rival at home and improves coach Josh Heupel's record against the program to 3-3. Alabama struggled to generate momentum, failing to secure a first down until midway through the opening quarter as the Volunteers defense forced multiple turnovers and limited total yardage.

This result snaps a seven-game skid for Tennessee against ranked opponents and bolsters the team's postseason resume.
