Texans star Nico Collins ruled out against Bengals for Week 2

Houston wide receiver Nico Collins has been sidelined for the upcoming Week 2 contest against the Cincinnati Bengals due to a hamstring problem. The sixth-year pass catcher originally suffered the ailment during Wednesday's workout, where he was listed as limited, before sitting out full sessions on both Thursday and Friday.

The setback removes quarterback C.J. Stroud's primary aerial weapon as head coach DeMeco Ryans aims to secure the franchise's opening victory of the 2026 campaign against Joe Burrow and Cincinnati.

Houston's offense will have to replace substantial production on the perimeter, given that Collins entered the contest having eclipsed 1,000 receiving yards in each of the previous three years.
