Facing a severe shortage of healthy signal-callers, the Baltimore Ravens are finalizing a trade to acquire Jacoby Brissett from the Arizona Cardinals. The move follows a disastrous stretch where starter Lamar Jackson sustained a potential season-ending thumb injury, while backup Tyler Huntley was sidelined with a season-ending turf toe issue.
With third-stringer Joe Fagnano also battling an ankle injury, the team sought veteran reinforcements to manage their upcoming schedule. Brissett, who turns 34 next month, moves to his seventh NFL franchise after being demoted in Arizona following Gardner Minshew's late-game heroics in a 33-30 overtime win against the Dallas Cowboys.
Despite his recent benching, Brissett has recorded 1,719 passing yards and 10 touchdowns across eight appearances this season.
