Aston Villa Face £6.1m Midfield Gamble: Should Emery Sign The Brazilian Teenager?

Aston Villa are navigating summer financial restrictions following the high-profile departures of Morgan Rogers to Chelsea for 117 million pounds and Youri Tielemans to Manchester United for 35 million pounds. Despite adding players like Joao Gomes, Leon Goretzka, and Johan Manzambi to their midfield, Unai Emery's squad is currently sitting 10th domestically while enjoying a 6-0 Champions League win over Fenerbahce.

Amid this depth, Goiás has adjusted its valuation for teenage defensive midfielder Lucas Rodrigues to roughly 6.1 million pounds. While Vasco da Gama had a three million pound bid rejected for the nineteen-year-old under-20 international, Villa must weigh whether to invest in the prospect despite already having established central options and existing financial pressures.
