Bronson Hearn-Smith, the 16-year-old British sprinter, has set his sights on the 2028 Los Angeles Olympics after securing a spot on UK Athletics’ Olympic Futures and Futures Relay Sprint programs. The Colchester Harriers athlete recently clinched gold in the 200-meter event at the European Under-18 Championships, smashing the championship record with a time of 20.70 seconds in July.
His natural talent and effortless running style—marked by powerful, elongated strides—have already amassed millions of views across social media platforms like TikTok and YouTube, drawing widespread attention to his rapid ascent in the sport.
Hearn-Smith, who joined Matchroom’s Talent Agency last month, emphasized his commitment to pushing his limits, acknowledging the minuscule margins that separate elite performances in sprinting. Though he remains cautious about Olympic qualification, he views securing a place on the relay team as a significant achievement in its own right.
His consistent training approach, unchanged for the past three years, continues to yield improvements, with the teenager focused on shaving precious milliseconds from his times as he eyes the next major milestone in his career.
