Sussex Cricket has announced a historic leadership change, naming Beth Barrett-Wild as their inaugural female chief executive. She will transition to the role on January 1, 2027, following a thirteen-year tenure at the ECB where she oversaw significant developments in the women's professional circuit and major tournament operations.
Sussex chair Ed Warner expressed enthusiasm regarding her appointment and the future direction of the organization.
Additionally, the club has proposed five individuals for non-executive director positions, pending approval at the upcoming annual general meeting in March. This group includes former England bowler Holly Colvin, who previously secured two county titles with the team, and former player Alison Bruce.
They are joined by Paul Farris, Mark Jeffries, and Callum May as candidates for these three-year board terms.
