Luka Doncic's trash-talking antics sharpen his edge. Lakers fans need to embrace it

Luka Doncic led the Lakers to a 125-117 victory over the Clippers on Friday night at Crypto.com Arena, posting 23 points, seven assists and six rebounds while also matching his career high with 11 turnovers. The win moved Los Angeles to 2-0 on the season and featured contributions from teammates such as Austin Reaves and Walker Kessler.

Coach JJ Redick praised Doncic’s competitive edge, noting that his vocal complaints and occasional technical fouls are tolerable as long as they don’t create easy transition chances for opponents. Doncic, who is working to avoid further tech fouls after a season‑opening clash with the Warriors that involved rookie Yaxel Lendeborg, remains unapologetically outspoken on the court.
