The National Football League has handed out financial penalties following the opening week of the season. Washington player Stefon Diggs received a fine of $14,926 after leaping onto the goal post following his opening touchdown.
Additionally, Detroit running back Jahmyr Gibbs was penalized $23,027 for a head-first rushing touchdown against New Orleans, despite avoiding an on-field flag.
